STEVE COFFEY AND NICK CARLSON LEAD NORTH MELBOURNE STAGS TO THE TOP OF THE WEST DIVISION!

North Melbourne Stags delivered a commanding performance against the Westside Kings, powered by a dominant all-around display from Steve Coffey and a timely contribution from Nick Carlson. The Stags finished with 81 total points, outscoring the Kings’ 59 in a performance that showcased their offensive firepower, defensive intensity and ability to get contributions from across the lineup.

At the heart of the Stags’ success was Steve Coffey, who put together an outstanding performance with 25 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists. Coffey controlled the game on multiple fronts, combining scoring punch with rebounding dominance and playmaking ability. His triple-double was a statement of leadership, as he consistently found ways to impact the contest and give North Melbourne the advantage when it mattered most.

Nick Carlson also played his part in the Stags’ winning effort, contributing six points, three rebounds and five assists. While his scoring numbers may not jump off the page, Carlson’s playmaking and ability to involve his teammates helped keep the Stags’ offence flowing. Alongside Coffey’s all-around brilliance, Carlson provided another important piece of the puzzle as North Melbourne established control of the matchup.

The Stags received valuable support throughout the roster, with Daniel Sedlarevic adding 14 points, Lawrence Pierre scoring 12 and Gerrard Newby contributing 10 points. Newby also made his presence felt defensively with four steals, while Louse Agon protected the paint with four blocks. North Melbourne’s collective effort was evident across the stat sheet, with the team recording 32 rebounds, 21 assists, 15 steals and five blocks.

For the Westside Kings, Paz Kahlon led the scoring with 25 points, knocking down five three-pointers, while Peter Tsekmes added 10 points and seven rebounds. Campbell Sinclair contributed nine points and 13 rebounds, but the Kings struggled to match the Stags’ overall production. With Coffey setting the tone and Carlson helping keep the offence connected, North Melbourne delivered an emphatic performance. The message is clear: when the Stags combine individual brilliance with contributions across the roster, they are a dangerous team to face.
